DEATH: Obit The Herald Journal, 06/11/05 DAYTON -- Warren Clovis Ferrin, 84, passed away Thursday, June 9, 2005, at the Portneuf Medical Center in Pocatello, Idaho. He was born March 4, 1921, in Burley, Idaho, to Clovis and Alta J. Lyons Ferrin. He married Myrna Fern Tadlock on June 28, 1941, in Burley. They were later divorced. On Sept. 15, 1957, he married Norma Rae Naylor in Elko, Nev. They were later divorced. Warren worked on or was around engines, of one sort or another, most of his life and loved to work on machinery and engines. He was a diesel mechanic and truck driver; later he had a job as a sales rep for Kenworth. He was a high priest in the Clifton 1st LDS Ward. Warren served in World War II where he was awarded the Good Conduct Award, a Purple Heart and Victory Medal. He loved to fish and enjoyed golfing. He is survived by his special companion, Connie Naylor of Dayton; his children, Ila (Kim) Thompson of Idaho Falls, Idaho, Denny (Mariya) Ferrin of Owensboro, Ky., Gary (Tanna) Ferrin of Salt Lake City, Richard (Karrie) Ferrin of West Jordan and Vickie Green of West Valley; stepchildren, Thomas (Lora) Naylor of Clifton, Dorothy (James) Lake of Eagle, Idaho, Gerald (Diana) Golding of Evanston, Wyo., Scott (Terri) Golding of Salt Lake City and Peggy (Bob) Anderton of Salt Lake City; 32 grandchildren; 51 great-grandchildren; and 61 great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Floyd and Norman Ferrin; twin sons, Eddie and Teddy Ferrin; and grandsons, Randy Golding and Denny Ferrin Jr. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, June 13, in the Clifton 1st Ward Chapel, 170 W. 1st North with Bishop Reed Nelson conducting. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. on Sunday at the Clifton LDS church and from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. prior to services at the church. Interment will be at approximately 4 p.m. in the Valley View Memorial Park, 4400 W. 4100 South in West Valley City. Arrangements are under the direction of Webb Funeral Home.
