• Notes

  Peter and Margaret came from Scotland in about 1851. They lived in Allegheny Co. the first several years they were in America before later moving to Iowa for several years and then on West to Oregon. They had one other daughter, Catherine Burt, who died about 1857 at about 3 years of age. Catherine is buried somewhere in Allegheny Co but nobody seems to know where as yet. Margaret had a few brothers who all lived in Allgheny Co. and stayed there and did not ever move west. Her brothers Robert and James Beveridge are both buried in Salem United Methodist Church Cemetery in Wexford. The Beveridge's in Allegheny Co. have been difficult for me, here in Oregon, to find much of any information on. There is a mistake on Peter's gravestone. It says he died in March of 1887.
