So shall it be with my father: he shall be
called a prince over his posterity, holding
the keys of the patriarchal priesthood over the kingdom of God on earth, even the Church
of the Latter Day Saints, and he shall sit in the general assembly of patriarchs, even in
council with the Ancient of Days when he shall sit and all the patriarchs with him and shall
enjoy his right and authority under the direction of the Ancient of Days.

  • Notes
    • Robert Preston Roseberry was a harness maker by trade and he was killed by a train. The family moved to Fairbury, Illinois after his death. Robert Preston, his wife Ida Samantha, his son Walter Alto, and his daughter Florence Ethel are buried side by side in the Gridley Cemetery, at Gridley, Illinois. The infant baby Emma's place of death and burial are not known. DEATH: There has always been some debate on his actual date of death due to some changes made in one member of the family's bible. The bible has an erasure and a smudged change in the month of death. To some family members it looked like May 2 and to others it looked like April 2. Emma just wrote me that she spent many hours pouring over Newspaper images at the Library yesterday and finally found the newspaper story of Robert's death. The newspaper is dated May 3, 1906 and it states that he was killed yesterday which would make the date of death as May 2, 1906.
