The Daily Gate City, Monday, May 24, 1976, page 10, column 2: Area Deaths ... C. C. Wegehenkel ... Hamilton, Ill. --- C. C. 'Dick' Wegehenkel, 75, well known Hamilton farmer, died at 1:57 p. m. Sunday, in Keokuk Area Hospital East. He was born May 22, 1901, near Hamilton, the son of the late Charles A. and Anna Bricker Wegehenkel. He married Grace Edna Millikin August 24, 1929, in Keokuk. She survives. Mr. Wegehenkel was a member of Bethel Presbyterian Church, Hamilton, and past president of the Hamilton Kiwanis Club. He is survived by one son, Roger K., Hamilton; and two grandchildren. Mr. Wegehenkel was preceded in death by two sisters and one brother. A funeral service will be held at 2 p. m., Wednesday, in Bethel Presbyterian Church. The Rev. Martin B. Olsen will officiate. Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Hamilton. Friends may call any time Tuesday at Lamporte Funeral Home, with family meeting friends from 7 - 9 p. m. The family has suggested a memorial to Bethel Presbyterian Church.
