Anna Maria Petersen was a child of a Mormon Pioneers from Denmark-Parents Iver Peter Petersen and Caroline (Karen) Margaret Mortensen (later called little Grandma). Anna was raised in Spring City , Sanpete , Utah. She met and married widower-Andreas Peterson a Swede from Fairview ,Sanpete, Utah. They had seven boys and two girls together. One-daughter-named-Iva Caroline died as an infant. Eskil-a-son-died-at-age-2.
She raised a lovely family. She also raised two Grandsons children of her eldest Newell. Their names were Bob and Ray Peterson
Anna Maria (pronounced "Ma ri' ah") Petersen was a child of a Mormon Pioneer from Denmark- Iver Peter Petersen and Caroline Margaret Mortensen, She was raised in Spring City, Sanpete County, Utah. She met and married Andreas Peterson a Swede from Fairview, Utah. They had seven boys and two girls. Daughter Iva Caroline died as an infant. She grew a large garden, and was a quilter and a good cook. She die of Bright's Disease.
Anna Maria Petersen PETERSON is the second wife to Andreas Peterson. Andreas first wife Carolina Wilhelmina Magnusson died soon after giving birth to their son named Andrew.
MARRIAGE-Andreas married his second wife Anna Marie Petersen in the Manti Temple on the 6 January 1892 in Manti , Sanpete , Utah. Her Danish parents were Caroline Karen Margaret Sorensdatter PETERSEN and her father Iver Peter Petersen. Over, her father was known as Ole Coop in Spring City for his occupation of barrel making.
FAMILY- Anna Maria and Andreas Peterson became the parents of nine children-two girls and seven boys. Their names are Cristal, Iva, Newel, Eskil, Linden, Jewell, Reed, Silven, and Ervin. Iva and Eskil died as young children.
WORK-Andreas' first occupation was to run a coal yard. He also worked construction with his father Jan Eric Peterson. Later he worked with the family lumber business - Peterson Lumber Company in Fairview , Sanpete County , Utah. Anna Maria's husband Andreas was called Barn Andy in the town of Fairview, Sanpete , Utah because of the large barn adjoining his property where he kept his horses and other animals. The Peterson Lumber Company was just across the railroad tracks that ran by their home in Fairview,Utah. It was a good business and one where all his sons could work with him. Andreas also helped construct the large North L.D.S. Chapel in Fairview , Utah.
DEATH-Andreas died in Fairview , Sanpete County , Utah on the 9th of October 1923 from stomach cancer leaving several children. His wife Anna Maria also died in Fairview , Sanpete County , Utah on October 1st 1923. They are both buried in the old Fairview Cemetery. Their youngest child Ervin Andy was only 11 years old and the next oldest Silven was 15 years old when their parents died. Next oldest Reed was 18 and preparing to leave on a mission to the New England States. The brothers all worked and helped support each other so each one could serve a full time LDS mission.
