- ROBT. C. KENNEDY IS LAID TO REST --------------------------- Funeral of Widely Known Local Resident is Very Largely Attended ------------------------------------ The Funeral of the late Robert C. Kennedy, who passed away on Friday took place yesterday afternoon at two o'clock, from his residence 109 Waterloo avenue, to Woodlawn Cemetery. The services, which were attended by many friends of the deceased were conducted by Rev. Mr Thompson pastor of Knox Presbyterian Church Elora. Floral tributes were numerous and testified to the esteem in which the late Mr Kennedy was held in the city. The pallbearers were Messers E. Sleeman E. Hawkins A Deguerre J. Aldous, I..S. McCalllum and D Burnett surviving the late Mr Kennedy are two sons David of Guelph and Robert Lowe, of Stratford, and one brother John of Guelph, now in Florida and four sisters Mrs Wm Maddocks of Buffalo, Mrs Harry Martin of Toronto, Mrs Alcock of Goderich, and Mrs Louise Robertson of Buffalo. The late Mr Kennedy was predeceased by his wife and one daughter. Occupation at time of marriage: stone cutter appear with wife, daughter and two sons in the 1901 & 1911 Canadian Census Residence in 1911: 109 Waterloo Avenue From 1916 to 1922, he employed his adopted sister/step-mother, Emily Monkhouse Kennedy as his housekeeper. d. 02 Mar 1934 in Guelph, Ontario, age 75 years and 2 months, of cardio renal degeneration at home at 109 Waterloo Avenue. His death certificate indicates that the Waterloo residence had been his home for 30 years and that he is widowed. The informant was his son David, who lists his residence as 109 Waterloo Avenue. Buried: 05 Mar 1934 at the Woodlawn Cemetery in Guelph, Ontario. Oddly the undertaker was from Toronto.
