  In the 1920 census the Hendle's lived next door to Isaac Newland. In the 1930 census they still lived next door to Isaac while Howard Newlands family lived on the other side of them. Mable Boyd, Robert and Clara Hendellive with then during those same years with a grandson Charles Boyd in the same house. He is buried in the Mt. Auburn cemetery next to the road with his wife, Clara I. 1861 - 1948. in Colchester, Illinois Block 4, Lot 13. The Daily Journal, Macomb, Illinois Tuesday Feb 13, 1940 Page 2, Column 2: Colchester Druggist Dies of Pneumonia Robert Walter Hendle, Colchester druggist, passed away at 3:15 this morning at the age of 68 years, one month and 19 days. Death was caused by pneumonia. Arrangements for the funeral services have not yet been completed. Mr. Hendle was born Jan. 4, 1854, in Monmouth and in 1872 moved to Colchester. On July 26, 1882, he was married to Clara Millikin, who survives him. He leaves behind, beside his widow, a daughter, Mrs. Mabel Boyd, Colchester; a son, Robert W. Hendle, Jr., Brookfield, Ill., and five grandchildren. Friends may call at the Williams Funeral Home in Colchester.
