Notes |
- Aoife was the daughter of a Gaelic king. She was well educated because of her privileged status. Aoife married Richard de Clare, 2nd Earl of Pembroke upon her father's request following the Norman invasion of Ireland. No one knows when Aoife died, but rumors of her death say that while she was walking on the grounds of Cappamore, she was shot through the throat, likely with an arrow.
