  Ilene was christened by the Rev J Good in St Judes Carlton on the 16 September 1923 Ilene died in 1971 in the Private Hospital at the bottom of Bay Road almost across the road from All Souls C of E church. Her address at that time was 16 Noyes Street Highett. Victoria. The Funeral Director was W.Rose of Cheltenham and the Minister Rev G Pearson Presbyterian Church Sandringham Victoria. Guy Cassells a friend and neighbour of my parents was the Informant. He and his wife Gwen lived on the corner of Bay Rd and Marshall Ave across from Aunty Hadie. Ilene attended Wales Street Primary School with her sister Hazel(Hadie) and alter Zirkos Business College. At that time she lived at 20 Ross Street Westgarth, this house has been demolished to make way for units. Following her marriage to alan Russell Hine and my birth we moved to the country to Yallourn where my father entered the power inductry. This was a boom town following WW2 and attracted many employees to the newly formed State Electricity Commission.
