  Per conversation with Walker K. Mitchell, 020129, he had two relatives, Abbie Comer and her daughter Norma Comer, living in Los Angeles, CA area in the 1940s. A probable second cousin, Francis Halstead also lived in CA. Per phonecon with Ted Britt, 020127: "Mitch met Helen in downtown Dallas while walking backwards. He knocked her to the ground and helped her up. It was love at first sight and they were married several months later. Helen was holding the rings and marriage license on the way to the church. She dropped the marriage license but, luckily, it caught in the car door and was retrieved when they arrived. On the way into the church she dropped the rings. After an extended search, they all gave up hope of finding them and borrowed rings for the ceremony. The next day, a scout found the rings and they were returned to Helen & Mitch." This information on Gerald Floyd came from a letter written 20 Sept 1995 written by Mary Weesner, her mother was a Britt. She is no longer living. )
