    • Ithamar Amidon was born on April 25, 1712 at Mendon, Massachusetts. In 1733 he purchased one hundred and forty-five acres of land in the eastern part of Oxford. In 1739 he sold a part of this to John Curtis, a part to his brother, Henry Amidon, and in 1740 the balance to his father. From the records it appears that he died before December 1743, but the exact date is not known. He married Ruth Curtis on January 5, 1736 at the age of 24. He died at the age of 31.
