So shall it be with my father: he shall be
called a prince over his posterity, holding
the keys of the patriarchal priesthood over the kingdom of God on earth, even the Church
of the Latter Day Saints, and he shall sit in the general assembly of patriarchs, even in
council with the Ancient of Days when he shall sit and all the patriarchs with him and shall
enjoy his right and authority under the direction of the Ancient of Days.

  • Notes
    • He was a Scottish soldier and aide to Bonnie Prince Charlie. He was captured as a prisoner of war by Oliver Cromwell at the Battle of Dunbar on September 3, 1650. Cromwell trounced the Scottish and Jacobites and took many prisoners, but let most of them go. He only kept the more "dangerous" prisoners and transported them to a church in England. They trashed the church. Cromwell got permission to "sell" them into indenture and this is how Alexander Innes came to Lynn, Massachusetts. He appeared on the inventory of property of the Lynn, Massachusetts ironworks when it went bankrupt. He traveled between the ironworks in Lynn and Taunton, Massachusetts. After his marriage, he and his wife, Catherine with her unknown maiden name, moved to Block Island, Rhode Island.
