  After Moses' death, Abigail married by contract dated 2 Jun 1685, Edward Howard. This appears to not have been a good marriage. The overseers of Moses Dimon's will complained to the Court on 9 Feb 1685/6 against Edward Howard, Executor by marriage. He was engaged to pay the portions to the children. On 16 Mar 1687/8, Abigail Howard complained that she wanted comforts and provisions for herself and child. The Court ordered Abigail to live with one of the overseers of Dimon's estate at the charge of her husband Howard until he provides. (7) ABIGAIL WARD. m. (1) May 2, 1670. Moses Dimon; b. May 14, 1677; will dated Mar. 21, 1683; (2) Edward Howard. 1st marriage: 41, MOSES +. 42, HESTER. 43, GRACE. 44, ABIGAIL +. 45. THOMAS; b. Sept. 15, 1678. Moses Dimon settled in Fairfield, Conn., about 1648. Purchased, in 1670, of John Purdy, son of Francis, of Westchester, N. Y., the Purdy Homestead on Frost Square. (F. T. Records.)
