      15 Mar 1668 Andrew Ward hath several parcels of land by virtue of his father's will. One-half the home lot, etc.
      10 Dec 1668 Andrew Ward Purchased of his brother Samuel, his half of the home lot.

      20 Dec 1668. Samuel Ward sold to Andrew Ward, land at Fairfield bounded on Nathaniel Burr's land. Witnesses were William Ward and John Burr.

      Names of the freemen of the Towne of Kennelworth (sic). Listed with lists from other town which were dated in the fall of 1669 although there was no date on the Kennelworth list. Of the nineteen names, four were my direct ancestors: Mr. Edward Griswold, Sam: Buel [married to Griswold's daughter Deborah], John Meigs Senr, Andrew Warde [married to Meigs' daughter Tryall]


      (8) ANDREW WARD, JR.. Killingworth, Conn. b. 1645/7; d. 1690; m. 1667/8, Tryal Meigs; b. 1646; d. 1690; dau. John and Tamasin (Fry) Meigs. This John Meigs was the one who was sent by night on horseback to New Haven by Gov. Leete to warn the Regicides that the pursuivants were on their trail, the distance being about eighteen miles through a dense forest. Andrew Ward was made freeman in 1668.
