So shall it be with my father: he shall be
called a prince over his posterity, holding
the keys of the patriarchal priesthood over the kingdom of God on earth, even the Church
of the Latter Day Saints, and he shall sit in the general assembly of patriarchs, even in
council with the Ancient of Days when he shall sit and all the patriarchs with him and shall
enjoy his right and authority under the direction of the Ancient of Days.

    • Obituary: Lynne E.S. Partridge "Aloha Oe" Lynne Esther Smith Partridge, age 61, of Salt Lake City, UT, passed away at her home April 1, 2004. Lynne was born in Salt Lake City to Joseph Fielding and Ruth Pingree Smith on June 3, 1942. She married Paul Jacobson Partridge in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple on August 28, 1964. Lynne moved to Honolulu, Hawaii at the age of five and attended school there until her sophomore year. She spent the last two years of school at Bayside High School in Queens, NY. She graduated from the Church College of Hawaii, now known as BYU~Hawaii. She received her Masters from BYU in Provo. She then went to work for The Franklin Institute when it was still in its infancy. She worked there for 16 years, absorbing Franklin's growing changes from The Franklin Institute to Franklin Quest and then its merge, to become Franklin Covey. She held numerous leadership positions in the LDS Church, which involved her love for teaching, as well as music. She had a love and hunger for the arts. She was an avid reader and her home can attest to this fact. She loved the Utah Jazz and BYU College basketball. She will be remembered for her humor, strength, dedication to persevere, and her constantly telling us to "never give up." She was a perfect example of that. She is survived by her husband Paul of Salt Lake City; her two sons and two daughters: Andrea (RJ) Gustafson, Helena, MT; Joe (Reagan) Partridge, Ogden, UT; Alice (Theron) Shelley, Salt Lake City, UT; Hyrum (Kristi) Partridge, Salt Lake City, UT; and eight grandchildren, with one more on the way. Three brothers and three sisters also survived her: Ruth Silver, Ida Smith, R.P. "Joe" Smith, Denis P. Smith, Hyrum W. Smith, and Pauline Jensen. Lynne was preceded in death by her parents. Funeral services will be held on Sat., April 10, 2004 at 10 a.m. at the Rose Park Stake Center, 760 North 1200 West, Salt Lake City. A viewing will be held Friday, April 9, 2004 from 6-8 p.m. at Larkin Mortuary, 260 E. South Temple, Salt Lake City. Published in the Salt Lake Tribune on 4/7/2004. Obituary: Lynne E.S.
