  Her fathers name was George Welch and her mothers was Elizabeth Young. On the 1 June 1900 census her father and mother were alive and living in Colchester, McDonough county, Illinois. It said that they had 5 children and 5 were still alive in 1900. The Macomb Journal Column 3 page 2: 23 August 1969. Mrs. Myrtle Millikin of Colchester Dies. Mrs. Myrtle A. Welch, 86, of Colchester died Thursday in the Colchester Nursing Center. Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Jones Mortuary in Colchester. The Rev. Ernest Louderman will officiate and burial will be in Mt. Auburn Cemetery. (Lot 27 Block 7 on the same stone as her husband) METHODIST Mrs. Millikin was born March 16, 1883, at Colchester, the daughter of George W. and Elizabeth Young Welch. She had always resided in Colchester, attending schools there. She was a member of the Colchester Methodist Church, the Ladies Social Union, the Colchester Household Science Club, past noble grand of the Rebekah Lodge and charter member of and past president of the County Federation of Women's Clubs. She sang in the church choir for many years. She married Ralph Millikin on May 7, 1902. He is deceased. Surviving are four children, Mrs. Grace Wegehenkel and Mrs. Evelyn Barton, both of Hamilton, George Millikin of Colchester, and Robert Millikin of Portage, Indiana, seven grandchildren and 10 great grand-children. A daughter, Marian, is deceased. Also deceased are her parents, two brothers and three sisters. Friends may call at the funeral home any time. Visitation with the family will be Saturday evening.
