- Kimberly Davis Records They are both buried in the Mt. Auburn cemetery in Colchester, Illinois in the Hendel family plot Lot 13 Block 4. The Macomb Daily Journal, Monday Oct. 14, 1918 Page 5 column 3. BOYD Wayne Boyd died at Galesburg Sunday morning at 7 o'clock of influenza, after an illness of about a week aged 31 years. The remains were taken to Colchester where funeral services will be held at the residence of his father I. N. Boyd, at 3 o'clock tomorrow afternoon; interment in the cemetery at that place. Deceased was born in Colchester and grew to manhood in that city. He was married November 19, 1911 to Mabel Hendel. He had been employed at the post office at Galesburg when he was stricken with influenza which was a bad case from the start and grew worse. He is survived by his wife and one son, Charles Wayne, his parents and three sisters, Mrs. Bonnie Burford; Mrs. Arthur Robinson, Miss Nettie.
