    • He is in the MILLIKIN - NEWLAND family plot Lot 9 block 3 grave 4 going south looking east at main monument. Next to his wife Mary Newland to the south of him while his daughter Jennette N Terrill is to buried to the north of him. His stone says 1871-1953. He really died in 1952 HDG 2005 His father is Thomas H. 28 Feb. 1833 - 19 Sep 1897 Lot 106 Block 1 Mother is Jennette Cowan 18 Apr. 1835 - 31 Dec 1918 Lot 106 Block 1 The Daily Journal, Macomb, Illinois, Tuesday, June 10, 1952, page 2, column, 5: Samuel Terrill, Retired Druggist, Dies Here ... Samuel Terrill, 80, a retired druggist, died at his residence at 209 North Normal street at 12:25 a. m. today following a long illness. He lived with a daughter, Jennette Terrill, a member of the Western State college staff. Terrill owned and operated a drug store in Canton for many years, moving to Macomb upon his retirement about 16 years ago. He had worked at times for the Haney and Scott drug stores since coming to Macomb. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p. m. Thursday, June 12, at the Gerald funeral home in Canton. Entombment will be in the Greenwood mausoleum at Canton. ( I am not certain that he wasn't buried there and that his daughter put up a stone at Mt. Auburn cemetery in Colchester, Illinois. HDG 2005) Friends may call at the Lady-Sarent funeral home this evening and until 1 p. m. tomorrow when the body will be taken to the Gerald funeral home. Terrill was a son of Thomas and Jennett (Cowen) Terrill, now deceased, and was born at Colchester, Ill., on Aug. 25, 1871. He was married to Mary Newland, who is deceased. He leaves one daughter, Jennette Terrill, and the following nieces and nephews: Frances Miller of Macomb, Carl Newland of East St. Louis, Mrs. Herbert K. Hulson, Gertrude Farrenkopf, both of Colchester; Paul Newland of Washington, D. C.; and Dean Terrill of Oklahoma, Okla. He was a member of the Methodist church, was a 50 - year Woodman and a member of the Masons since 1909.
