      Amos Green was the son of Richard Green b. 1740 in Trenton, Mercer Co., NJ, d. 1818, and Eleanor Sullivan b. abt 1735; he had the following siblings: Jeremy, Richard Jr., John Joseph, Benjamin, Isaac, and Ellenor "Nelly" Green.

      He married abt 1797 (1) Elizabeth Searcy b. 1779 (buried at this cem.); they had the following children (all born in Rutherford Co., NC): Mary "Polly" b. abt 1798 d. 1823 who married Daniel A.
