So shall it be with my father: he shall be
called a prince over his posterity, holding
the keys of the patriarchal priesthood over the kingdom of God on earth, even the Church
of the Latter Day Saints, and he shall sit in the general assembly of patriarchs, even in
council with the Ancient of Days when he shall sit and all the patriarchs with him and shall
enjoy his right and authority under the direction of the Ancient of Days.

    • Line of Ephraim from Antenor to Joseph Smith Ref: House of Israel by E. L. Whitehead RIN 3673 in the Adam Chart from Broomhall Library. (Chief Prince of Ephraim). Antenor, a king of the Cimmerians on the Black Sea, or the Euxin, of the Trojan blood d. A.M. 3561, before Christ 443, the year before the institution of the Roman Censors, in the 2nd year of Nehemiah's Government at Jerusalem, and 22nd year of the Persian King Artaxerxes Longimanua. Ancestry of Charlemagne to Antenor - Chief Prince of Ephraim - House of Isreal by E. L. Whitehead: The Sicambrian Kings, from whom the present Kings of France are descended. The Kingdom of Sicambria, when first planted, was upon the Borders of Germany, near the German Sea. At their first coming here they were called Newmagae (or New Kindred) afterwards Sicambri, and lastly Franks, or Franconians, or French. They were originally Scythians planted at the mouth of the Danube, from whence they were expelled by the Goths. Some authors say that the first stories of them are fabulous, and that these people were never heard of till the time of the Emperor Galen. But however true that may be, other historians have recorded these following Kings." (Ref: Royal Genealogies, by James Anderson, D.D., 1732, London) Who Is This Royal Seed? Who are they who compose the royal seed? They are the descendants of those ancient tribes descended from Jacob. They are the people that produced the leaders of ancient Israel that led the tribes of the Northern Kingdom. They are the same as the body that predominated among the Cimmerians and among the Scythians and over whom the "princes of Ephraim" ruled. They are the same people that were led by the princes over the mountains and plains of Europe to Britian and northern Europe. They arethat wild and roving horde that thundered out of the north and poured across the Baltic in the persons of the Vikings--who became known later as the Angles and Saxons, who established themselves as the predominant race in Britain, and that became mixed with the others of Israelite origin already dwelling in that land. They are the descendants of those hardy Anglo-Saxon people who lived and multiplied in the security of Britain, and in other regions whither they had wandered among the nations of Europe and the world, marrying into royal families of other nations, into the gentry and the common classes, so that their blood has become disseminated throughout the nations of world. The Chief Prince of Ephraim- The records of this modern house of Israel extend back to a very remote time. When Israel came out of Egypt, a strict genealogical record was kept. "So all Israel was reckoned by genealogies; and behold they are written in the book of the kings of Israel and Judah." (I Chron. 9:1). Each head of a family was classified in the tribal grouping "according to the house of his fathers." Two years after the exodus from Egypt the Lord commanded Moses to "take the sum of all the congregation of the children of Israel, after their families, by the house of their fathers....And with you there shall be a man of every tribe; every one head of the house of his fathers." The chief prince of Judah was Nahshon, son of Amminidab, son of Ram, son ofHezron, son of Pharez, son of Judah. Nahshon's sister Elisheba married Aaron the high priest, and was the mother of all his descendants; yet Aaron's posterity were not reckoned of Judah, but of Levi, for that was the "house of their father."At this same census of the house of Israel the chief prince of Ephraim was Elishama (RIN43436), the son of Ammihud (RIN43454). (Num. 1:110) His descent from Ephraim is given in I Chron. 7:20-26. Elishama was the father of Nun(RIN253), who wasthe father of the valiant leader Joshua (RIN46984). Thus Joshua was chief prince of Ephraim in his day, and leader of all Israel. From the day of Joshua the tribe of Ephraim occupied a prominent place in Israel, and after the division of thekingdom the northern division was often called by the name of Ehraim, after its leading tribe. We have no knowledge of any authentic pedigree tracing any living person in unbroken line back to Joshua or Ephraim. There is, however, an indication of a descendant of Ephraim living in the Black Sea region in the year 443 B.C. His name was Antenor (RIN44277), King of the Cimmerians and was termed "chief prince of Ephraim." In Hebrew genealogy this would probably mean that he was theoldest son of the oldest son down from Ephraim through Shuteslah and Laadan(RIN43487), Ammihud(RIN43454), Elishama(RIN43436), Nun(RIN253) and Jeshua(RIN46984), each the prince of the tribe of his father and captain of the sons of Ephraim in his day, in the patriarchial order of descent. "From Antenor, according to old pedigrees yet preserved, the early kings of the Franks traced their descent, as also Charlemagne(RIN61488) and most of the families of Europe and America today--royalor otherwise." (Birthright Blessings, pp. 89, 92). Joseph Montgomery, in his introduction to the "Pedigree of the Duchess of Mantua and Montferrat," 1885 pp. 12, 13, makes this comment: "The line of the kings of the Franks, their lineal ancestors, stretches further back than any European pedigree, even to Antenor, King of the Cimmerians, on the shores of the Black Sea, who reigned there in the time of the Hebrew prophet, Nehemiah, and of the Araxes, according to Herodatus and Tacitus. The advocates of the Israelitish origin of the Frankish or Germanic nations have got a point which I question some of them will not make much of, as it leads up directly to the time and place where the ten tribes were lost, and leads down to where nations which show a plausible affinity with them and probably genealogical descent are found.
