She reputedly was mistress to HENRY BEAUFORT, Bishop of Lincoln, Lord Chancellor of England, Cardinal Bishop of Winchester, Cardinal-Priest of the titular church of St. Eusebius (commonly called Cardinal of England), by whom it is said she had an illegitimate daughter, Joan (or Jane) (wife of Edward Stradling, K.nt., of St. Donat's Castle, Glamorgan). Alice married before 4 March 1392/3 (date of her father's will) JOHN CHERLETON, 4th Lord Cherleton, feudal lord of Powis, son and heir of John de Cherleton, Knt.rd Lord Cherleton, by Joan, daughter of Ralph de Stafford, K.G., 1st Earl of Stafford.
