      Iveta was the daughter of William and Iveta de Arches.
      Iveta and her father made land grants to the Priory of Nun Monkton in Monkton and Hammerton and the churches there at Askahm, and the chapel of Walton. Iveta's son Peter de Brus I, confirmed to the Canons of Helagh Park a croft and certain liberties in Walton given by his mother, the Lady Iveta, and the charter following he gives eight acres there in his new assart by the Wharfe, for the good of the soul of his mother Iveta de Archez.
      Iveta married twice, she first married Roger de Flamville, son of Hugh de Flammville.Roger was born about 1115 in Dalby, Yorkshire, England and died in 1169 in Thorpe Arche, Yorkshire, England.
      Iveta married secondly Adam II de Brus, Lord of Skelton, son of Adam I de Brus, Lord Skelton and Agnès d'Aumale, about 1169. Adam was born about 1134 in Skelton Castle, Yorkshire, England and died on 11 Jul 1180.

      Adam de Brus was the son of Adam I de Brus and Agnes of Aumale. He succeeded his father as Lord of Skelton. Adam donated property to the canons of Gysburn, for the souls of "R. de Brus avi mei et A. patris mei", by charter dated to [1155/65], witnessed by "Petro de Brus…".

      Adam married twice, his first marriage was to Iveta de Arches, daughter of William de Arches, Lord of Thorp Arches, and Ivetta, about 1169.

      Adam married secondly Joanna de Gernon, daughter of Ranulph de Gernon, 2nd Earl of Chester, and Maud (Matilda) Fitzrobert de Gloucester, Countess of Chester.
