    • BIOGRAPHY: Pierre (Peter) Sublett was the oldest child of Pierre Louis Soblet. His descendants include Samuel S. Sublett, who in 1896 published the book “A Partial History of the French Huguenots by Name Soblets: Who Emigrated to America in 1700 and Settled at Manakin in Powhatan County, Virginia, 18 Miles West of Richmond City,” which contained letters, wills, and other historical documents pertaining to the first generations of Soblets in America.
