So shall it be with my father: he shall be
called a prince over his posterity, holding
the keys of the patriarchal priesthood over the kingdom of God on earth, even the Church
of the Latter Day Saints, and he shall sit in the general assembly of patriarchs, even in
council with the Ancient of Days when he shall sit and all the patriarchs with him and shall
enjoy his right and authority under the direction of the Ancient of Days.

John Warren, son of John Warren and his first wife, was born about 1555 in England. He was a cardmaker at Nayland, Suffolk and was taxed there in 1611. Nayland was the center of the weaving/clothing industry, and a card was a metal comb or wire brush used for combing flax or wool. On October 4, 1584 at Nayland, he married Elizabeth Scarlet, who was baptised Aug. 30, 1561 at Nayland, daughter of John Scarlet. She was the mother of all his children, and died early in 1603. His second wife was named Rose, she was buried on Aug. 11, 1610. He married his third wife, Rose Riddlesdale, on Apr. 23, 1611. His will was dated Mar. 27, 1613, and proved on Nov. 4. He bequeathed to his wife and children, and to the poor people of Nayland. He was surely buried in St James' churchyard in Nayland as he requested in his will.
